Epic Haiku & Limerick App Reviews

Almost there

As mobile device sizes get bigger this gets more useful. With implementation of touchID on the 6/6plus itd actually be useful for quick labs meds etc. data entry of any significant amount will still be on a real keyboard though. By the time I type out my password, I often could have just used the computer in the patient room. Would get 4 stars with Touch ID and picture function fixed.

Photo ability is great

I use this as an ER physician and being able to put a photo into the chart for follow up is really valuable so you can track progress. Very easy to use from that perspective.

TouchID

Please support touchID. Thanks!

Cant see schedule

I used to be able to see my patient schedule but now it is always empty. Not sure how to fix that.

Great app, please consider Touch ID support.

Please consider Touch ID support. Otherwise, great app!

Epic Analyst

The user name no longer saves since updating to the newest version of Haiku, please get this fixed.

Great for quick review of charts

This is a good companion app to look things up quickly, especially if you dont have immediate access to a workstation. I would like to see Touch ID integration for quicker login.

Good for review

Good for reviewing charts. Wish the developer would allow you to put brief progress note on from phone app.

Phoenix

Doesnt support Phoenix or writing telephone encounters.

Dont update

Just updated the app and now it freezes every time I try to open it. Maybe it doesnt work on previous ios 7.1

Cervical exam missing

Can no longer see current cervical exams for patients. Also, cant see gestational age and care coordination notes. Really critical that that functionality is restored. Thank you.

Adds quality and speed to charting

With easy clinical photos, integration with Nuance, quick access to patient chart, schedule, this app is a huge hit with my orgs physicians and therapists. A lot of the negative feedback here is clearly from misinformed users. They dont realize that their orgs IT staff (not Epic) is responsible for a lot of the configuration. So if something isnt working like it used to work, talk to them first.

2016 update

Apparently there was an update on1/5/2016. App wont install now... How crappy!!

Please fix

Since the last update I have to reset this each time I logon. This is quite inconvenient. Please fix this thank you.

Not working since last update

Unable to use since latest update!!!

Needs push notifications

Haiku has shown some improvement over time but still needs to be more robust. Our hospital is trying to have everyone use the Epic inbasket rather than email for communicating with other providers regarding patients. One big advantage of email over the Epic inbasket is the immedicacy of notifications. Obviously HIPAA requires logging in to see the content of a message, but Haiku would be much more useful if it could notify you that you have a new message. You could then login to see what the content is. This would be particularly helpful for providers who work at multiple hospitals. Currently I have to login to multiple systems to check to see if there are new messages.

Needs more

Please enable Touch ID support, typing password each time is slow Cant see more than past 3 sets of vitals Should just have an "all notes" section

Better than nothing

Strangely poorly configurable (eg moving around the bottom icons) and not updated for the iPhone 6 plus. Seems like a strangely neglected piece of software. That said, its nice enough to have. One request, can you just let me review the chart from the schedule view without opening the encounter? Further, can we please use our touchid to unlock?

Works really well on the iPhone six

I am a Hospitalist and use this all the time on my iPhone. It saves me time throughout the day.

The sad state of EMR in 2016

Its death by a thousand small cuts. UI has too many extraneous details. Clutter like only Epic could possibly create. Touch ID fails to popup half the time. Even the keyboard frequently fails to activate in a text field, fixable only by force quitting the app and then reopening. You cant remove the space occupying Status Board (were not all surgeons, you know). Id much rather have a search tab in its place. Haiku reflects the sad, bloated state of the US electronic health record. And its because we let hospital administrators choose the priorities instead of letting doctors be doctors.
