Needs push notifications
Haiku has shown some improvement over time but still needs to be more robust. Our hospital is trying to have everyone use the Epic inbasket rather than email for communicating with other providers regarding patients. One big advantage of email over the Epic inbasket is the immedicacy of notifications. Obviously HIPAA requires logging in to see the content of a message, but Haiku would be much more useful if it could notify you that you have a new message. You could then login to see what the content is.
This would be particularly helpful for providers who work at multiple hospitals. Currently I have to login to multiple systems to check to see if there are new messages.
